Responsible Trade

Trust Begins with Transparency

An overview of the principles that guide how we approach counterparties, documentation and due diligence.

Counterparty Verification

We seek to understand who we are dealing with before entering into commercial discussions, and may request information about a counterparty's identity, ownership and business activities through appropriate channels.

Transaction Documentation

We aim to record the agreed terms of each transaction clearly, so that all parties share a common understanding of roles, responsibilities and conditions.

Product Specifications & Supporting Evidence

Where relevant to a transaction, we request documentation supporting product specifications such as form, weight, purity or grade.

Origin & Supply-Chain Information

Where applicable, we ask for information about the origin of material and its supply chain, proportionate to the nature of the transaction.

Risk Assessment & Due Diligence

We apply a risk-based approach, and the depth of review may vary according to the counterparty, product, jurisdiction and transaction structure.

Applicable Corporate Policies

Our internal policies are developed with reference to the requirements applicable to our business. Specific policy documents can be discussed with counterparties on request.

This page describes our general approach and does not represent a certification, accreditation or independent verification by any third party. Specific requirements are determined for each transaction.
